I hate the word 'panties'. I hate it like some people hate 'moist'. And so it's highly unusual that I would even be found writing about 'panties', even if writing about them involves, at no point, saying the word aloud. But here I am.

There is no reason in the world why these high-waisted panties should be anything other than odd, and unattractive, and maybe somewhat troubling. But instead they're appealing, and cute, and maybe even hot.
