monday: stuff under twenty

I always wonder when things are below $20 on J.Crew because they can usually sell at a higher price point. So it's possible that something is weird about it, and be warned it is final sale, but it might be worth a buy at this price. There's a good range of sizes left, and the colors and great, and I'm always surprised how difficult it is to find long-sleeved shirts with some cute but not overpowering detail. There are a million tanks out there with sequins and ruffles and stripes and cowls, but long-sleeved shirts are either plain or have some HUGE BOW or equally hideous and/or difficult-to-pull-off accessory.

wednesday: steal under twenty

Bear with me for a second. I know this isn't the absolute cutest of dresses right off the bat. But then it grabs you, doesn't it? It's that gorgeous, breezy linen, sexified with that little zipper, conservatized with those arms, and summerized in those colors. It's an Athleta dress, so you know the quality is great. It's designed as a coverup, but thick enough to wear as a dress. It's still available in basically every size. And the reviews rave about it. It's free shipping over $50 and free returns! Oh, and it's a steal under twenty!

strapless layered chiffon dress

Twelve dollar dress!! I like the bustier bit and the olive green color. If you dress it down with conservative shoes, I think you can get away with a military jacket thrown on top. Or go clunky boots with a soft cardigan. Either way, it's a twelve dollar dress!
