Hi Readers,
I'm really excited about the weekend, even though I don't really have any plans. S is celebrating a friend's birthday by taking off for a bash at a casino and is actually staying in town the rest of the weekend. I mention this because, as S wrote last week, she's been quite the jet-setter for the past couple of months.
I'm not really sure what to do this weekend. My bedroom is kind of a sty so I think it's time to weed through clothes, tidy up, and catch up on laundry. I'm not the neatest person in the world, readers. Any organizing tips that have changed the way you think about cleaning, let me know.
I'm headed to a play tomorrow, directed by one of my mom's friends. So that should be interesting.
Tonight kicks off a series of giveaways, featuring all kinds of wonderful things that I want to tell you about here. We'll let it stay a surprise, though.
Anything in particular you want to see? Let us know!
Enjoy the sun readers, if you're lucky enough to have it in your area!

ReplyDeleteHi! I'm a new reader for about 4 months now. Love reading about your great finds! About cleaning...I highly recommend FlyLady.com. Two tips I can share with you. 1)Power of 15 minutes. Pick a specific area to attack...say a junk drawer. Set the timer for 15 minutes and start dejunking. When the timer goes off, put the stuff away and you're done. No guilt about having to finish the drawer. Next day attack it for 15 minutes again. Before you know it, that drawer or area that you were working on 15 minutes at a time, is now done!
2)Piggy-back a chore. Attach a small job to something that you routinely do. For instance, I usually just stand in my kitchen waiting for my toaster each morning. Now, I start unloading the dishwasher while I wait. Usually when my toast is done, I've put away all the dishes! I used to think it would take me much longer than that. We just don't realize how quickly something can get done once we just start it. Well hope that helps!
Thanks for the great organizing tips! That 15 min. one really helped me out this morning. I'm one step closer to more organized shelves.
