Schadenfreude is (a little 'everything i know about it i learned on the internet disclaimer' here) a German word that refers to laughing at the misfortunes of others! Example: "a granny throws a stick for her very large, leashed dog. chaos ensues." Better to laugh at a flip book than real people, eh?
