Handbag Heaven Giveaway: Win a handbag of your choice!

Finally finally it's here! A big wonderful belated-black-Monday giveaway that is sure to have you clacking away at your keyboards wanting to enter.

We're so excited to be able to gush about Handbag Heaven, an awesome site that features trendy handbags, totes and clutches for a fraction of what you would expect to pay. Recessionistas, do I have your attention?

Handbag Heaven didn't just want to host a giveaway, they wanted to kick off our holiday season right by sending us a couple bags of our choice to review. We went for the Amanda Modern Bowler and the Andrea Shoulder Tote.

The bowler bag has always been a favorite of mine because it's cute and still holds a ton of crap and it has that vintage appeal that I can't get enough of. Also this blue is pretty rockin! True to its photo, the blue is light but bold, and this stumpy bag holds your wallet, phone, and the 900 other things you move from bag to bag without stopping to clean it out (old receipts, gum wrappers, hard candy, come on we all do it...)

The tote is great too! We checked out the black one, though it was a tough call because that pink is a head turner. A one strap shoulder bag is sturdy and carries the essentials plus a little extra. This wasn't a huge bulky beach tote so it still works for work, and is simple to maneuver. Not too many pouches and the black and white contrast works with a lot of different outfits.

Though both the bags were a little smaller than we imagined (we're not so good at checking the bag dimensions before ordering - Handbag Heaven's sizing IS accurate!), we love them both and plan on exchanging them with one another whenever we meet up.

Let's sidestep here and talk about the price. GREAT PRICES. Even though we're giving two bags away, we insist you check out the great selections that they have - many under our favorite number - 20!

This woven tote may err on the summery side but it's also a great winter pick me up! You may not want to be wearing flip flops in the snow, but a sturdy bright canvas tote may have you feeling a bit closer to warm weather.

Or check out this classic rhinestone clutch. Since Mad Men's season is over, there's little for me to hold on to. Thank goodness for vintage-y clutches reminiscent of the Draper era.

Maybe a cut little wristlet is what you're after. You're already schlepping around an umbrella and a big coat and boots and a hat and gloves...sometimes you just need enough for your ID and change.

In the next two weeks, we're giving TWO lucky winners a choice of any Handbag Heaven bag they desire! The giveaway runs from 12:00 AM PST today (Tuesday) until 11:59 PM PST, December 14th (Monday). The winners will be chosen by random.org and emailed on Tuesday. If the winners do not respond within 24 hours, additional winners will be chosen. Stuff Under Twenty is not responsible for the giveaway after the winner and the storeowner have been put in contact with each other. This giveaway accepts US MAILING ADDRESSES.

Thanksgiving Week: We're on Vacation!

Photo courtesy of m.bibelot's flickr account.

It's the holidays and we're already beat, readers.

We need some R&R and that means a few days off from blogging. In the meantime, enjoy your week, hopefully you all have some time off, whether or not you're celebrating Thanksgiving.

I'm off to spend my first holiday with the guy. Eep! I hope his friends and family like me. Recommendations on what to pack for a Thanksgiving in Chicago with your boyfriend? I'm really asking!

S is resting up from the flu (blah) and work (blah) so I hope she's able to curl up with some books, some old films, and lots of good food. Oh S, how I wish we were spending Thanksgiving as carefree as we were spending it together last year. Such is life. Tide and time, as my mom says, waits for no one.

But wait you say? What about the secret spectacular giveaway?

It's coming....Check back after Thanksgiving to enter our most fabulous prizes yet!

Stay thankful, we're thankful for you, and thanks for helping Stuff Under Twenty make it to a year!

We love you all,

N + S

Weekend words

Hi Readers,

Well, I can't believe it but Thanksgiving is around the corner and thus kicks off, for many of us, the holiday season. Even if you're not celebrating a holiday this season, it's still going to be thrown in your face thanks to all the holiday sales that start popping up right after Halloween. Sorry to sound old and crotchity, but remember when the holiday sales started in late November?

Still, who can resist a good deal? A little snow plus slashed prices on just about anything you can think of leaves your pocket less empty and you and your family and friends a bit cheerier.

Anyways this week has been up and down - work is busy for both S and I and we find ourselves forgetting that the 26th will mark...wait for it...Stuff Under Twenty's first birthday. Sigh they grow up so fast.

But in honor of our blog's birthday, and the holidays, we'll be offering one helluva giveaway. So stay tuned!

Until then, we'll be out gallivanting, in hibernating, and everything in between.

Falalalalaaaaaaa,

N + S

GIVEAWAY: beautiful, versatile, pure silver ring!

This Giveaway Has Ended. Check our home page to enter our latest giveaway!
Readers, let me be the first to introduce you to the twenty dollar ring. I thought about keeping it to myself but it's just too fabulous a deal not to share with you all. The twenty dollar ring is always there for you, complements everything you've got going on, and won't break the bank. It's perfect with a pair of black trousers and a knit top or a pair of skinny cords tucked into boots or a pair of leggings with a tunic on topic. It goes from dawn to dusk, from church to bar, from winter to summer, from high to low. Made of pure silver, so it'll never let you down. You know you want it! And we're giving it away!! The lovely Kristin and David of Sea Babe Jewelry are going to give one lucky Stuff Under Twenty reader, subscriber, follower, and/or fan a zero-dollar twenty dollar ring of their very own.

I love that this ring doesn't conform to any particular design or trend. It's classic and simple, it's one of a kind, and it doesn't have to mean you're married or unmarried. It doesn't have to mean you're in love or single or looking. It just says you're sophisticated and stylish and have an eye for beautiful things.

And here's another thing that catches our eye almost as much as that glint of silver: this artisan jewelry from the North Shore of Oahu is made from 100% recycled silver. So it's affordable, beautiful, green, and supporting an awesome etsy seller!

Sweet and simple not really your thing? How about this beauty? In a fall filled with statement jewelry and a winter that can only be more fall than fall, you need some zing on your finger. I like how this is zing without bling, don't you?

Aaaand back to simple and utterly stunning with these classic hoops.

Last switcheroo but I couldn't let you go without showcasing this pale green amethyst necklace. The shape of that cube is heartbreakingly pretty, no?

Win a pure silver ring from Sea Babe Jewelry. The giveaway runs from 10:00 PM PST today (Monday) until 10:00 PM PST, November 22nd (Sunday). The winner will be chosen by random.org and emailed on Monday. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, a second winner will be chosen. Stuff Under Twenty is not responsible for the giveaway after the winner and the storeowner have been put in contact with each other. This giveaway accepts US MAILING ADDRESSES.

weekend words

Hi Readers,

Are you enjoying your Saturday? I am. I slept in, ate fresh bread for breakfast, and am headed to a big green conference today that should prove to be filled with delicious food, awesome speakers, and hundreds of people trying to sell me stuff. Green consumerism at its best I suppose. My mom and I are going and the guy will be there, so that's good news too.

S is catching up on work, getting some much needed rest and hopefully eating something delicious - she's prone to sending me fantastic recipes she finds online, most recently peep-smores. Mmm.

Tell us what you're up to - we'll see you Monday, complete with an awesome jewelry giveaway that's sure to meet your expectations!

Until then,

N + S
